When you use Glimmer, we may collect the following data:
- Account data: email address, display name, avatar color.
- Content data: challenge records, written reflections, and media files (images, videos, audio) you create.
- Usage data: page views, feature interactions, and general app usage logs.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Glimmer services.
- Let you log daily challenges and view your personal records.
- Allow other users to see your reflections when you choose to share publicly.
- Detect and fix technical issues.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore and Storage) and the Cloudinary media service. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, though no internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only in the following cases:
- Service providers (Firebase, Cloudinary): necessary to deliver core functionality.
- Legal requirements: when required by court order or applicable law.
5. Public & Private Content
When completing a challenge, you can choose to share your reflection publicly or keep it private. Public posts are visible to all Glimmer users in the feed; private posts appear only on your personal profile.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Delete your account at any time (please contact us).
- Withdraw consent (some features may become unavailable as a result).
7. Cookies & Tracking
Glimmer uses essential session cookies to maintain your login state. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
